1. Fabric Composition
CVC = Chief Value Cotton, typical blend Cotton 55%+Polyester 45%, woven in twill/canvas, weight:240–320g/㎡.
- Cotton: carries durable phosphorus-based Proban FR finish, moisture-wicking, skin-friendly, forms char barrier to block flame & radiant heat when exposed to fire.
- Polyester: improves fabric tensile strength, wrinkle resistance, low shrinkage, quick-dry property to extend service life.
- Built-in grid conductive filament: embedded evenly across fabric for permanent antistatic function.
2. Core Functional Treatments & Working Principle
(1) Flame Retardant (FR)
Adopts THPC cross-linked Proban durable FR finishing. FR chemical bonds firmly inside cotton fiber, LOI≥28, keeps valid after minimum 50 industrial washes. Cotton carbonizes quickly to form insulated char layer to cut off oxygen; polyester wrapped by char avoids massive molten dripping. Garment self-extinguishes once leaving open flame.
(2) Antistatic
Continuous conductive network from grid conductive yarn drains static electricity generated by body friction via corona discharge. Surface resistance falls within 10⁶~10¹¹Ω, eliminates spark risk for flammable gas & dust workplace.
3. Comply EU Standard (CE Certified)
- EN ISO 11611 Class1: welding protection against spatter, spark & short-time flame for general arc welding.
- EN ISO 11612 A1/B1: thermal protection against flame spread, radiant & convective heat in hot industrial environment.
- EN 1149-5: antistatic standard for petrochemical, oil & gas explosive hazardous area.
Optional: EN ISO 20471 high-visibility reflective tape, OEKO-TEX eco certification.
4. Garment Construction (Jacket & Trouser)
Jacket
- Stand collar with snap closure to prevent spark from entering neck;
- Concealed FR snap placket, no exposed metal zipper avoiding heat conduction;
- Reinforced elbow patch, multi-functional chest & lower pockets for tools/pen/tape measure; all accessories (button, thread, binding) are flame-resistant.
Welding Pants
- Double-layer reinforcement at knee with internal knee pad pocket;
- Large thigh cargo pockets for workshop accessories; adjustable leg cuff to block welding debris into trouser tube;
- Full garment sewn with aramid FR sewing thread to ensure seam protection consistency.
5. Application Fields
General arc welding, machinery repair, steel structure processing, chemical plant patrol, oil depot maintenance, light metallurgy workshop.
6. Advantages & Disadvantages
Advantages
- Balanced comfort & cost: softer & more breathable than high-poly T/C fabric, cheaper than Nylon-cotton & Modacrylic blend;
- Good shape retention, anti-wrinkle, less shrinkage, easy laundry & maintenance;
- Durable FR performance far better than common non-crosslinked after-finish cotton fabric.
Disadvantages
- FR is chemical after-treatment instead of inherent fiber FR, FR performance gradually declines after over 80~100 heavy washes;
- Medium polyester content leads to slight molten drip under intensive high-temperature molten splash, not suitable for heavy-duty smelting & close-range fierce welding.
