Standards and Analysis of Flame Retardant Fabrics

  Flame retardant fabrics are treated with special production technology to effectively prevent the spread of flames. The finished textiles will not burn when exposed to fire sources, but will reduce the flammability of the fabrics in the flames and slow down the speed of spread. It forms a large area of combustion; after leaving the flame, it can quickly self-extinguish without burning or smoldering.
  Flame retardant fabrics are divided into permanent flame retardant fabrics and post-finished flame retardant fabrics. The main characteristics of the flame retardant fabric are that it burns in case of fire, self-extinguishing away from fire, blocking combustion and preventing secondary damage. First of all, the flame retardant fabric must meet the environmental protection standards, that is, the requirements of the OEKO-TEX100 certificate, and the formaldehyde content meets the standard.
  Secondly, the flame retardant properties of flame retardant fabrics must meet the standards. There are many flame retardant standards for flame retardant fabrics. For example, products exported to Europe must meet European standards EN14116, EN11611, and EN11612. The American standard must meet the technical requirements of NFPA2112, and the national standard is GB8965-2009.
